HISTORY OF

The Kilimanjaro Tiger Cup soccer tournament brings together children, youth, and local young adults who love soccer and are pursuing their dreams.

The Kilimanjaro Tiger Cup soccer tournament brings together children, youth, and local young adults who love soccer and are pursuing their dreams.
It is operated in cooperation with Korean missionaries in Africa, based in Jengari Village in northern Uganda and Kimbiji Village in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (as of February 2026).
The tournament currently welcomes participation from more than 20 teams each season. The average size of a local football team representing each village in Africa, including both youth and adult players, is about 30 people, consisting of players, coaches, and staff. (e.g., 20 teams × 30 people = approximately 600 participants.)
More than 2,000 people, including officials from the Northern Uganda Football Association and Members of Parliament from Northern Uganda, gather for the final match and award ceremony.
Through the Kilimanjaro Tiger Cup, we strive to break down the barriers between tribes that were divided by years of civil war. In the love of Jesus, we are united through soccer on the land of Africa, the last hope of this generation, so that African children and young people may discover their dreams and share joy and hope together.
